Egyflax, originally known as Nouehi Flax Company, has grown into one of Egypt’s leading companies and the largest private flax producer in the Middle East. After its transformation into a (S.A.E.), the company became known as the Egyptian Company for Egyflax and Its Products, cementing its reputation as a pioneer in the flax industry.
1944
The journey began
The journey began with the establishment of the factory, focusing on cultivating flax and processing flax fiber.
1981
A significant milestone was achieved
With the introduction of a complete line for processing flax waste. This included the acquisition of two Depoorter machines from Belgium, enabling exports to France and Belgium.
1983
The company diversified into hackling flax
The company diversified into hackling flax by importing four state-of-the-art James Mackie machines, marking a pivotal turning point.
1990
Egyflax ventured into spinning
Egyflax ventured into spinning, importing a complete line for producing thick yarn and six carding machines.
1992
The company expanded further
